Book 1: The Orphan Squire and Dragons' Revenge

December 2026

A young adult Christian medieval fantasy.
Dragons razed their peasant village five years ago, leaving siblings Lucian and Maryelle separated. Fourteen-year-old Lucian longs to train as a squire under the knight who rescued him, despite his fear of dragons. Meanwhile, a secret encounter drives Maryelle to resolve the dragon conflict, even though people rarely listen to a ten-year-old girl. Forced to train under a new mentor, Lucian risks everything to find the sister he almost forgot. When these long-lost siblings unite, they devise a plan to stop the deadly attacks, but it hinges on hiding their darkest secret from these mind-reading beasts. If their plan works, the realm will be safe. Failure would be catastrophic.

REVIEWS

"The story’s concept is gifted! Here is yet another high-concept novel from Linden, whose range as a fiction author is impressive. Readers should expect an enthralling climax!

When a boy is without a father, through death or absenteeism, to whom does he turn and where does he belong? Lucian must learn to face his childhood fear and stand on his own two feet but gather strength from God the Father in heaven. As he begins to recognize that Sir Cedric, not an easy man to please, is an ally, mentor, and earthly father figure, Lucian discovers more about the event that made him an orphan and removed his sister from his life. And he finds the fortitude to pursue his goal of knighthood while aiding and protecting those he cares about." ~Cynthia T. Toney, Catholic author of award-winning Southern US fiction for teens and young adults
